Sanitation Tech/Fumigation

Job Summary: Maintain the cleanliness of the facility; perform fumigation; spray pesticides and herbicides.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and generally clean all areas of the plant including rooftops.
• Clean filters on the top of tanks.
• Spray various pesticides and herbicides with several different types of sprayers; which includes perform various types of fumigations.
•  Maintaining the tank farm, which includes cleaning from the top to the bottom; checking empty finished tanks for cleaning.
• Checking the glue boards and the tin-cats, making sure they are free from mice, log findings; clean and maintain bait stations.
• Spray roundup for weeds when needed.
• Check with the production staff for any tanks or railcars that need to be fumigated.
• Check with production staff for any finish tanks that may need to be cleaned.
• Operate Forklift when needed.
• Work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
• Manage and utilize Safety/SDS Sheets
• Follows and encourages coworkers to understand and adhere to Cal/OSHA regulations and Sun Valley Policies to work safely and efficiently
• Understands and adheres to HACCP/FSSC 22000 food safety standards
• Follows Sun Valley’s Good Manufacturing Practices
• All other duties as assigned

Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.

Required certification:

California Qualified Applicators License (QAL) or ability to acquire QAL within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Industry experience preferred.
